Accountant – Cheeverstown House

The successful applicant will have a proven record of success and will have responsibility for the following:

Preparation of monthly management accounts, with KPIs, and assistance with preparation of associated board presentations
Preparation of monthly management IMR reporting to The HSE
Assistance in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Analysing financial and management accounts of business units
Assist in the preparation of the year-end financial statements
Assist in the planning and co-ordination of the year-end audit process involving statutory auditors and business units
Managing weekly cash flows for all businesses, including review and approval of monthly supplier payment runs etc.
Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts
Preparation and submission of other ad hoc returns / submissions (CSO etc.)
Monitoring and assisting with financial control, including implementation and review of internal controls
Assistance as required in other ad hoc tasks

Qualifications criteria:
Essential:
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Assertive and flexible (ability to ensure controls and procedures are followed)
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

Desired:
Experience in working in the Charity Sector desirable
Salary will be paid at Grade VI Clerical pay scale, as per current Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.
