The Trust was established in 1890 and is one of the oldest established housing charities in Ireland. It provides, develops and improves hostel accommodation, sheltered and affordable rented housing for people in housing need in Dublin and the surrounding counties.
Assistant Financial Accountant
To Assist the Director of Finance in the following tasks:
The preparation of monthly Management accounts, Financial Accounts and
Annual Budget
Maintain the Fixed Asset register
Control account reconciliations
Management of day to day income and expenditure
Management of Rent and Key Deposits
Processing all statutory returns to revenue.
Cash flow reports- daily, weekly, monthly, annually, 5 year
Financial modelling – from basic data input through to cash flow, budgeting, integrated 3- and 5- year projections including Revenue, Cash Flow and Balance sheet
Bank accounts- management, compliance and review
Rent Review- Plan, monitor, tenant communication (file review, rent calculation, regulation review and meetings), legal review and actions.
Sinking Fund Investment- management and review
Internal Audit
Pension schemes- management, compliance and review
Compliance requirements with the following regulatory authorities:
Housing Regulatory Authority
Housing Finance Agency
Charities Regulatory Authority
Data protection Commissioner
Private Residential Tenancies Board
Assistant Accountant Skills
Part Qualified Accountant or IATI Qualified
2-4 years experience
Strong analytical skills numerically
Advanced Excel and PC skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work alone and within a team
Experience with Sage 200 an advantage
Assistant Accountant Offer
This Assistant Account role is offered on a full time and permanent basis. The salary is offered at a level of €30-35K plus Pension contribution
