Description

The National University of Ireland, Galway, seeks to appoint an academic leader and scholar to become the first Established Professor and Head of the School of Education and Home Economics at NUI Galway, which, following the planned integration of St. Angela s College Sligo into NUI Galway, will consist of the School of Education in Galway and the Departments of Education and Home Economics at St Angela?s College, Sligo. The combined School will be one of the largest Schools of Education and Home Economics in the State and the new appointment will be Head of School (for an initial 4 year period) as well as Established Professor on a permanent basis.

Skills Requirements

Normally, a Ph.D. (or equivalent qualification) in Education or related field Teaching experience at third level Active research profile and strong research and publication record [Recent publications in well regarded peer-reviewed international journals and/or monographs].
