External Audit of Financial Statements – Youth Work Ireland

National Youth Federation Limited, a Company Limited by Guarantee trading as Youth Work Ireland works with young people, their families and communities to develop the potential of young people through the provision of quality youth services and supports. Young people are at the heart of the organisation and are supported with excellent standards in professional youth work supported by outstanding volunteering, leaders, staff and services.

Youth Work Ireland is a Federation of 22 Local Member Youth Services supported by a National Office. Collectively we support hundreds of affiliated youth clubs, projects, programmes, youth cafes etc. Together we are Ireland’s largest Youth Work Charity, working with 116,060 Young People under the age of 25.

Each of the 22 Local Youth Services of Youth Work Ireland are an independent company/trusts/charity in their own right. Similarly, the affiliated Youth Clubs are all independent small Charities.

Youth Work Ireland is now seeking tenders for the statutory audit of its National Office, National Youth Federation Limited, trading as Youth Work Ireland.

Contract of Work to Auditors who will carry out the Annual Financial Audit including;

The audit of the Director’s (Trustees) Report and Financial Statements for 2016, 2017 and 2018 in accordance with current Company and Charity Law, Current Accounting and Auditing Standards, SORP 2015, Department of Public Expenditure and Reform Circulars, Pobal and other funder requirements.
Preparation of the Independent Audit report to company members.
Preparation of the Financial Statements from the documents to be produced by Youth Work Ireland staff as listed below.

An electronic version of your tender should be sent to both the Head of Finance and the CEO of Youth Work Ireland at mhill@youthworkireland.ie and ehumphires@youthworkireland.ie no later than 5.00pm 29th August 2016. Short listing will begin immediately. Interviews will be scheduled with selected auditors mid September. The Interview panel is to be confirmed but will likely consist of the Head of Finance, Finance Professional from a Member Youth Service, Company Directors and possibly one Young Person (under age of 25).
