Finance Manager / Office Administrator – National Traveller Women’s Forum

The Position of Finance Manager/Office Administrator is 14 hours per week.
Salary is €34,299 on a pro rata basis.

National Traveller Women’s Forum (NTWF) is the National Network of Traveller women and Traveller women’s organisations. We recognise the particular oppression of Traveller women in Irish society and are working to address this issue through the provision of opportunities to Traveller women to meet, share experiences, ideas and develop collective strategies and skills to work towards the enhancement of their position in society.

Job Description:

To carry out and ensure the efficient running of the NTWF financial systems and procedures including office administration tasks. Ensuring all office administration and financial practices are in line with NTWF policies and best practice.

Essential Criteria and Key responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to have a minimum of 2 year’s experience working in financial and office administration.
An appropriate qualification or equivalent experience in financial administration.
Manage the finances and office administration in line with NTWF organisational policies and best practice, maintaining up to date and accurate accounts of income and expenditure
To carry out day to day administration tasks of the organisation including financial management of the project finances and project bank accounts with responsibility for banking activities such as banking on line, liaising with bank, lodgements, cashing of cheques, setting up / cancelling standing orders, liaising with cheque signatures, payment of invoices, preparing monthly bank reconciliations etc.
Preparation and administration of monthly sage payroll and all associated requirements including revenue payments and P35, P60, etc.
Ensure CRO returns are up-to-date including the preparation of B1, B10 Forms etc. and Charity Regulator requirements filed
Complete all financial returns as required by funders and Board of Management
Financial reports for presentation to BOM
Support the BOM and coordinator, with the writing up of funding proposals and preparing annual budget projections
Preparation of annual accounts of the organisation in consultation with the Coordinator and Finance Sub Group and liaising with auditors in preparation of annual audited accounts
A commitment to the ethos of the organisation
Administrative Support:

Administrative support to the BOM and Coordinator as required
Assist with the preparation and development of the annual report
To keep the company’s registers up-to-date (members register and data bases, directors register etc).
Purchasing of office supplies/stationary and equipment as required in consultation with the coordinator
Support with documents pertaining to BOM meetings as required
Maintaining accessible manual and computerised files and records
Provide necessary secretarial support and any other financial / administrative tasks as considered necessary by the Coordinator
Upkeep of NTWF web site
Skills in the following areas required:

Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good working knowledge of SAGE, Microsoft Office including excel and data bases
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
understanding and commitment to the principles of community development and the Traveller Community
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
