The Muiríosa Foundation is seeking to recruit to the following position:

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Fixed Term Contract  – 6 Months

Reporting to the Director of Finance the Financial Accountant manages the integrity of financial reporting and financial information relied on by management in the decision making process.  He/she ensures that financial information produced for external use is accurate and produced in accordance with best practise.

The successful candidate will have strong communication, leadership and relationship building skills with all colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Qualified (preferred) or part qualified with significant and relevant experience at a Senior level, in a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA)
Required Experience includes but not limited to:

Managing people operating day to day financial transactional systems
Preparation of consolidated management accounts and variance reporting
Forecasting income and expenditure and cash flow
Preparing financial management information for senior management
Manage the accounting close cycle ensuring all general ledger reconciliations are completed in a timely manner including managing and maintaining the balance sheet reconciliation process
Ensure the integrity of information in financial accounting and reporting, budgets and forecasts
Managing day to day insurance relationship
Managing internal financial controls
