Dress for Success Dublin is a not-for-profit that supports women with the clothes and skills needed to succeed at interview and in their career. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in leading fundraising initiatives and developing strategic relationships. The Fundraising & Development Coordinator will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Operations Manager and/or Board, plan and implement all fundraising and development activities, including current and planned corporate support opportunities, planned giving programs, fundraising events and friends of Dress for Success network.
Takes lead on building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners and individual donors.
Marketing existing support opportunities to a corporate and individual supporter audience.
Oversee production of comms & marketing materials eg. Press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Maintains organisations calendar of events and activities.
Play active role in strategic reviews and contribute to the wider thinking and planning of the organisation.
Oversee the recruitment and selection of new volunteers and manage volunteers involved in events and fundraising initiatives.
Direct line management of an Events & Fundraising Intern.
Skills, Experience & Qualities
3rd level qualification in related field e.g. marketing, events, public relations, business, advertising.
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience, with a proven track record in meeting financial targets, running fundraising initiatives and maximising on development opportunities.
Possess excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships at a strategic level.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency.
Project management experience with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and the ability to lead teams to meet tight deadlines.
Strong team work and collaboration skills, with people management experience.
Interest in the not-for-profit sector, a passion for working in a mission driven organisation, and belief in the vision of Dress for Success Dublin.
Time Period & Commitment
8 hours per week on a contract-for-services basis, unusally within the Dress for Success Dublin offices between the hours of 9 and 5. Hourly rates will be within a €15-€20 range dependent on experience. Some out-of-hours work, including evenings and weekends, will be required in line with event requirements. Inititial contract will be for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
