Description

The Finance area within Gas Networks Ireland ensures effective financial management of the organisation and provides the expertise, services and information to support the business in achieving the required business outcomes, including transactional finance including payroll, financial reporting, business planning, insurance & claims management, procurement services and internal audit / controls. Reporting to the Finance Reporting Lead you will have responsibility for monthly financial reporting and will support the statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirments for Networks. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, excellent systems experience (preferably Hyperion and Oracle) combined with solid experience in a similar role with a focus on process improvements and working to tight deadlines. Excellent analytical skills are required as well as a proactive flexible attitude.

Skills Requirements

Relevant third level qualification with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. A recognised accounting qualification (ACA; CIMA; ACCA; CPA). Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with the ability to generate innovative technical solutions as required. Sound judgment and decision making skills and ability to work under pressure. Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle would be advantageous.
