Head of Finance – Stewarts Care – Dublin

Stewarts Care Ltd. is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community based services to people with an intellectual disability since its foundation in 1869. Working with service users and their families, the organisation is committed to developing a broad range of services and supports that help to ensure happy and healthy lifestyles and quality experiences to 775 adults and children.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Finance oversees all financial aspects of company strategy and is responsible for the flow of financial information to the Chief Executive, the board and where necessary, external parties including the HSE, other funders, and financial institutions. With responsibility for the finances of the organisation including the production of the annual budget, the Head of Finance is also responsible for the management of cash flow and the production of information for the CEO, the Senior Management Team The Audit, Risk & Finance Committee and the Board.

Key responsibilities include:

Capital Plan, Cashflow & Working Capital Management
Financial Planning, Management, Compliance & Reporting
Responsibility for the internal Finance Team
A member of the Audit, Risk & Finance Committee Management of relationship with HSE
Internal Audit & Banking
Payroll & Superannuation

The ideal candidate will have significant financial management experience, with a proven ability to think and act strategically and demonstrable interpersonal communication, persuasion and negotiation skills to manage multi-faceted relationships both internally and externally. Possessing, empathy with the mission, ethos and culture of Stewarts Care, he/she will have a relevant professional accounting qualification, preferably with senior finance and administration management experience in business and / or in the public, community or not-for-profit organisations
