St. Michael’s House Services is a community based voluntary organisation which provides facilities and services to over 1,500 people with intellectual disabilities and their families in Ireland throughout Dublin city and county. We provide services in three regions: Northern Region (Ballymun); Northeast Region (Coolock); Southern Region (Goatstown).
LAN Administrator
Full-time, 3 year contract
The LAN Administrator is responsible for the administration and configuration of the LAN network infrastructure. This includes Windows 7 desktops as well as Microsoft Server 2008. They will also be directly involved with the management of MS Exchange 2010 Server, Citrix, Active Directory/Group Policy administration. They will also be responsible for the deployment and configuration of Windows 7 desktops, Virtual Desktop and associated applications.
Essential Education criteria:
3rd level IT Qualification and / or Industry certification
The ideal candidate should have:
At least 12 month experience in an IT Support role
A proving track record of Networking Skills including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
At least 6 month experience with Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, Exchange 2007/2010, Active Directory and Group Policy management.
A working knowledge of VMWare and Citrix Xenapp
Experience with Windows Desktop 7/8 as well as Applications, Network and Desktop issues
Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work efficiently as part of a team.
Ability to prepare informal and formal technical documentation and to keep accurate records and logs.
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and responsibilities
The successful candidate will also provide support to the Help Desk team.
Grade IV Salary Scale: €25,497 to €42,891
