ROLE
This is a very exciting opportunity to work in a fast growing, values driven organisation. Depaul are looking for a new member of the Senior Service department team and senior management group. This role will work closely with 2 other senior service managers, reporting directly to the Director of Services and Development. The role, in conjunction with the Director of Services and Development, would ensure that Depaul remain informed of sector based changes and to allow for this to inform future development of services. This post is being put in place to ensure that Depaul remain responsive to the needs 0f marginalised communities in ROI. A review of the role will take place following a period of 12 months. This will ensure that as an exciting, fast paced, rapidly growing organisation, we meet the changing needs in line with our values. This includes the successful candidate being flexible with the ability to positively embrace change.
The role entails operational responsibility for some of Depaul Services in the Republic of Ireland. There may be a requirement to work in conjunction with others on specific projects in Northern Ireland.
This person will possess and insight into the strategic and operational issues required to operate services within a low threshold environment. This post will require the individual to manage services through a considerable period of change. The post will also include a service development remit which may include tender and business case preparation, service development and policy research.

To attend all organisational meetings as required
To work closely with Senior Services Managers ROI and NI
Sector based working
To ensure relationships with funders at project levels are maintained and developed.
To ensure that all Depaul policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Health and Safety, Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
Undertake any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the role.
To be part of a senior on call system in line with the ‘on call’ policy.
This role will require a degree of flexibility as your work will require travel and occasional overnight stays.
2. Person Requirements
Relevant 3rd level qualification in management or Business Development related studies
At least 3 years management experience in the voluntary sector, preferably in a residential or community homelessness based setting or housing setting
Five years’ experience of work with marginalised groups, desirably within the homeless sector.
An understanding of why people become homeless and the issues they present with, particularly in relation to substance misuse and mental health issues.
