Number of Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Shillelagh Co. Wicklow and Tullow Co. Carlow with requirements to travel to community based services within South East Leinster.

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager to manage, lead and develop the residential and community-based services within South East Leinster. This position is initially a 9 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of the contract being offered on a longer term basis. In addition you will support the de-congregation of residential services, which will involve leading, managing and coordinating the activities and work required in the design, implementation and transition to individualised services for people moving from residential settings to their own homes in the community.

The Person:

The successful candidate will be a motivated and dynamic person with strong leadership skills who is able to positively influence people and events, foster a culture of understanding and trust, and create team spirit. In addition, the successful candidate will:

Holds a degree or equivalent or relevant professional qualification.
Has a minimum of 3 years’ people management experience within the disability or broad personal social services field and is able to show evidence of being a strong leader and influencer.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Computer & IT literate (has strong computer skills, Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc.).
Ability to overcome personal and professional challenges and to reflect and learn from mistakes and feedback as a tool for personal development.
Ability to maintain composure in difficult or challenging situations.
Ability to demonstrate awareness of current developments in inclusion and individualisation issues in Ireland and internationally.
Ability to demonstrate awareness of good practices in the provision of person-centred services and sensitivity to the issues experienced by people with physical disabilities and neurological conditions.
In possession of the necessary documentation to work and live in the Republic of Ireland.
Holds full (clean) drivers licence and is willing to travel for work on a regular basis and outside of normal working hours when required.
Ability to speak and write English fluently.

Salary range: Dependent on experience
