Function: To ensure the effective and efficient direction and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources under his/her control and thereby achieve the stated aims and purpose of the RADE project.
Financial
The provision of an efficient and effective financial accounting system in line with sound accounting procedures and conventions
The management of financial returns and claims for DSP, Drug Task Force and other funding bodies
The installation and provision of systems controlling the operation of a cheque book, cash book, purchases book, debtors, creditors and general ledgers, participant payroll, trainers payroll, bank account and PRSI returns
Ensure effective budget management
Prepare all relevant paperwork and ROS uploads for the Revenue Commissioners including P45s, P30s, P35s, etc.
Register new participants with Revenue and update their details in Payroll package
Prepare final accounts for Auditors at year end
Liaise with the local DSP, LDTF, other funding bodies, accountant and bank regarding financial matters as requested
Training and Development
Fully participate in the Supervisor Development Programme
Demonstrate an understanding of the range of programmes and courses available to unemployed and vulnerable adults
Manage and maintain the ILP for all participants training in conjunction with Keyworking team
Prepare contracts for trainers
Community Employment
The applicant should have an understanding of the role of Community Employment Supervisor
Ensure the work areas meet appropriate housekeeping standards and provide a safe and healthy environment for participants – both in terms of facilities and work practices
Carry out any other functions relevant to the position of Supervisor (Community Employment) as indicated by Sponsor from time to time
Prepare annual DSP roll over to include all documents relating to the RADE’s contract renewal (insurance quotes, prepare grant claims, Union support letters, project reports)
Maintenance of effective time keeping record system for participants on project.
Maintain Supervisor and participant time sheets
Register new positions with Jobs Ireland
Ensure RADE governance and work polices are updated. Update and maintain Staff and Participant Hand books
Provide effective supervisory cover in the absence of the other Community Employment Supervisors
RADE Specific Responsibilities
Co-ordinate and supervise the art programme with responsibility for workshop facilitation and exhibitions
Develop, maintain and amend the RADE database as required
Assist with any other duties as required by the project
Requirements for the position:
Third level qualification. Minimum Level 6 on Major Award NFQ (National Framework of Qualification)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory/management capacity
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Excellent administration and computer literacy skills
Excellent financial planning and administration skills
Desirable criteria for the position but not necessary:
Knowledge and understanding of Finance Administration
Experience of publication design and layout
Knowledge and understanding of IT maintenance
Knowledge of Thesaurus Payroll and Solutions Plus Accounts Software Package
Experience of addiction issues and working with service users towards rehabilitation
Website and social media maintenance.
Remuneration:
Salary commences on Point 1 of the Supervisors Community Employment Salary Scale at €708.37 per week (inclusive of employers PRSI) Weekly Gross Wage €639.61 with advance to point 4 on salary scale.
