This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic organisation as Communications Executive.
Cycle Against Suicide is looking for a talented and creative Communications professional to support raising awareness of our brand with multiple stakeholders and promoting our year-long calendar of activities, including our Annual Cycle. The candidate will also lead our internal communications requirements. You should have excellent writing, communications and presentation skills and a good knowledge of media.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
At least 2-3 years’ experience in a communications role
Educated to degree level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A thorough understanding of the Irish media landscape
Excellent media relations understanding and pitching ability
Social media fluency and the ability to adapt to digital trends
Experience of writing press releases, articles and dealing with media nationally and locally
Good organisational and multi-tasking skills
Desirable
A qualification in public relations, digital marketing communications or equivalent
Experience of working with charities or NGOs and/or campaigns
Specific Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Oversight and management of external communications to include;
Management of Cycle Against Suicide’s digital platforms (including but not limited to email, facebook, twitter, website and linkedin)
Offline contact from the public (phone and traditional mail.)
Social Media plan implementation
Newsletter
Direct mail
Website blog
Website content
Public Relations
Oversight and management of internal communications to include;
Volunteer communications
Team communications
Event information distribution
Oversight and management of mental health messaging to include;
All external communications
All internal communications
Oversight and management of ‘At Risk’ communications
Terms:
This post is being offered on a one year contract basis with a six month probationary period and is subject to sustained funding. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience
