About the Role
Special Olympics Ireland is seeking a Director of Marketing, Communications & Fundraising to lead and deliver on fundraising and awareness targets across sponsorship, fundraising, media and public relations.
Reporting to the CEO The Director will also play an active role in the senior executive leadership team and will support and drive the development and implementation of Fundraising and Communications strategy. This role requires a strong communicator with great people skills, an ability to engage, network and influence with stakeholders of all levels and a passion to make a difference in a charity and sports organisation where close to 8,000 athletes avail of our services and develop their fitness, life skills, confidence and friendships.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills. This role requires someone with strong track record of setting, achieving and reporting on fundraising goals in order to maintain the sustainability of Special Olympics Ireland, both financially and as a community. They will have developed excellent presentation creation and delivery skills, as well as be comfortable in writing reports, overseeing marketing materials and working on community campaigns.
If you are an experienced leader in fundraising, marking and communications, with the ability to work with larger budgets and achieve targets, are a natural networker and have dual ambition and empathy, this could be the role for you!
