The Community Foundation for Ireland believes in the power of philanthropy to deliver just and progressive social change. We empower people who want to make a difference through a model of philanthropy that is based on trust, effectiveness and impact. Established in 2000, we have made grants on behalf of donors of over €20 million, mostly in Ireland. Over 50 individuals, families, businesses and other institutions have set up charitable funds under the umbrella of The Foundation. We have a proven track record in empowering donors who want to make a difference in their communities by tackling social issues effectively. President Michael D. Higgins is the Patron, and the Board is comprised of distinguished representatives from the public, private and community and voluntary sectors.
Job Purpose
To develop and implement a number of marketing activities targeting key audiences for CFI. The position is part-time for 2.5 days per week and reports to the Marketing Manager and is based at our offices on O’Connell Street, Dublin.
Primary Responsibilities
Work closely with CFI team on promoting our services to potential donors and professional advisers
Work closely on the database of potential donors to move them through the ‘sales funnel’
Create and implement a number of marketing tactics aimed clearly at our core audiences
Maintain D2 (SalesForce based) database of potentials in co-operation with Fund development team
Organise events from inception stage to execution
Maintain the CFI website and social media
Develop marketing materials and publications
Author content for website and newsletters
General marketing support
There may be other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements
2-3 years Marketing experience
Marketing Qualification
Proficient in MS Office applications
Experience in database management
Knowledge of WordPress and Social Media tools ideal though not a requirement
Knowledge of Philanthropy preferred and a passion for social justice/change is a requirement
Experience of producing marketing materials
