The successful candidates
will work with an identified child / children in the Early Years’ Service. The role will promote inclusive practice, offering the child / children an opportunity to participate fully in the Early Years’ Service. The AIM Practitiooner will contribute to the Service being delivered in a professional manner and help create a safe, caring and welcoming environment for the children and their families/carers.
Successful applicants for the above position must have the following:-
Essential
Minimum Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education
A minimum of 1 years’ experience as an Early Year’s Setting
Good knowledge of underlying principles in early years education including Aistear and Siolta
Desirable
Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education
Previous experience of working in a community based service
Experience of working with children with additional needs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of the issues facing children and families, particularly in disadvantaged communities
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the early years sector
Commitment to work creatively to achieve better outcomes for children and families
Capacity to Participate in review plans and programmes to respond to needs of children and families
Ability to identify and appropriately address child protection concerns
Capacity to self-motivate and work independently and in collaboration with a team
Ability to work on one’s own initiative

This is a Specific Purpose part-time position during the Term Year & is subject to 6 months’ probation, 2 written references, Garda Vetting and continued funding from our statutory funding agencies.
