Description

The Asset Management function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for optimising the return from the asset portfolio. Asset Management identify, plan and develop investment programmes while achieving an optimal balance between customer requirements, asset efficiency and risk. Asset Management considers the financial and regulatory effects of the proposed investment strategies. The Asset Strategy team within Asset Management is responsible for the strategic development of both the transmission and distribution gas network. Asset Strategy is responsible for identifying and defining the policies and strategies related to the serviceability and performance of the Network. Reporting to the Asset Strategy Manager, the Asset Manager, NI, Interconnectors & Compressor Stations will develop asset strategies, policies and standards to meet safety, regulatory and business requirements while maximising and sustaining the value of the assets.

Skills Requirements

Proven technical competence is essential, Engineering degree or other relevant qualification desirable with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience. Experience of working with compressor stations is an advantage. Previous experience with initiating and maintaining strategic relationships both internally and externally, using strong influencing skills to achieve business goals. Provide coaching in the development of the technical skills and abilities in others.
