Assistant Community Employment Supervisor – Nenagh Childcare Centre

Nenagh Childcare Centre in partnership with the Department of Social Protection are recruiting an Assistant Community Employment Supervisor with a primary responsibility for the administration of training and payroll.

The objective of Nenagh Childcare Centre Community Employment programme is to provide a career path in childcare, including training and employment opportunities for unemployed persons in Co. Tipperary. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Project in the preparation of accounts and administration. The Assistant Community Employment Supervisor will report to the Community Employment Co-ordinator.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate the provision of an efficient and effective financial and accounting system in line with the Company and Department of Social Protection accounting procedures
Payment of weekly wages to participants on schemes funded by the Department of Social Protection, process PAYE/PRSI payments, on line ROS/ P30/P45 etc.
Maintain a sick leave, annual leave and absenteeism record for each participant
Submit monthly AWS within the required time frame
Responsible for assisting in the administration duties of Learner training programs
Consults with the Community Employment Training Co-ordinator regarding training needs, ensure availability of all training materials and ensure that all Learners are aware of training requirements
Assists in other administrative and budgeting tasks associated with training programs
Perform other duties as requested that support the Community Employment Project

Applicants must have:
FETAC level 6 Payroll/Accounts certification or ATI Qualification
Minimum 1 year previous work experience in financial management
Knowledge of SAGE Line 50
Knowledge of Thesaurus
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures
Demonstrated planning skills
Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise
Proven ability to maintain a computerised data system
A working knowledge of reporting systems to the Department of Social Protection
Excellent communication skills
A full driving licence
