Assistant Local Training Initiative Coordinator – North Wall Community Development Project – Dublin

The North Wall Community Development Project is currently seeking applications for the temporary position of ‘Assistant Local Training Initiative Coordinator’ to cover maternity leave.

The Assistant LTI Coordinator will have a key role in supporting the continued success of the Local Training Initiative in the North Wall area, supporting unemployed people in the local community.

We are seeking a person with excellent training and personal skills, who is organised and committed to delivering the highest standards in service provision. The aim of the LTI programme is to provide participants with the opportunity to engage in a range of adult education modules, leading to a full FETAC Employability Skills Award and to identify progression routes into further training, education or employment. The role is subject to approval of Solas funding.

Essential Qualifications:

Minimum Tutor Qualification of FETAC level 6, in addition to relevant subject matter expertise

Minimum of two years training experience required, with FETAC experience essential also.

Duties and Responsibilities for the position are as follows:

Delivery of FETAC modules and completion of all relevant documentation
Supporting the recruitment of learners for the programme
Evaluation of modules
Attending weekly planning and communication meetings with the Coordinator
Providing individual supports to learners
Evaluation of learners progress with regular group and individual evaluations
Developing individual learning plans with learners and facilitating progression to other forms of training, education or employment
Together with the Coordinator monitoring and evaluation of overall programme in accordance with Solas and North Wall CDP guidelines.
Keeping and maintaining records in accordance with North Wall CDP and Solas requirements
Work with the Coordinator in the development  and planning of future programmes
Complete all necessary reports required by the Coordinator
Engage as directed by the Coordinator with other relevant agencies and training services to ensure best practise
Assist the Coordinator with the monthly reporting requirements of Solas
Carry out administration duties assigned
Keeping up to date with the Solas Training Standards System regulations
Any other duties that will further develop the training aims and objectives of the North Wall CDP as requested by the Education & Training Coordinator, General Manager or the Board of Directors

Hours of Work

39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, normally 9 to 5, but some flexibility will be required.  Holidays 22 days per year plus bank and public holidays pro rata.
