Assistant Person Support Manager (APSM)
Reporting to and working with the Person Support Manager, the Assistant Person Support Manager will work directly with the Person Support Leaders (PSL) in their day-to-day role with individuals and their support teams. The successful candidate will lead, mentor and support the PSL, working in collaboration to build resources and supports within teams so that each person receives support to live a meaningful life.
Applicants should:
Hold a Level 7 Degree in Social Care or Applied Social Studies, or relevant field.
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience leading, managing and directing teams working in the community-based services in the area of Health & Social Care.
Have an in-depth understanding of Social Role Valorisation.
Have a proven track record of involvement in implementing change/quality initiatives (e.g. setting up/reconfiguring services – Decongregation / New Directions) that support individuals to live meaningful lives.
Build trust, lead and motivate.
Have excellent interpersonal skills together with the ability to work on their own initiative.
Be committed to empowering people to live meaningful lives.
Possess excellent communication with a high level of proficiency in verbal and writing skills.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
