We are recruiting for the above (full-time) position providing support to adults with intellectual disabilities who live in a community residential setting in L’Arche Dublin.
The successful candidates must be committed to providing the highest standard of services in support of adults to live satisfying, fulfilling and interesting lives. In order to meet the needs of the residents the role will require a high level of flexibility, including early mornings, evenings, sleepovers and weekend work.

Be willing to take part in the community and be involved in community life embracing the ethos of L’Arche Ireland.
Have experience in working with adults with an intellectual disability and be familiar with the use of wheelchairs, hoists and other assistive equipment.
Be Person Centred in approach and attitude.
High standard of English—both verbally and in writing
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, organisational and initiative skills.
Understanding of Advocacy and Human Rights.
Knowledge of Health Care Act 2007: Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centres for Persons (Adults and Children) with Disabilities and
Knowledge of the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities.
Demonstrate sound knowledge and social model practice in support of adults;
Role subject to Garda vetting, verification of qualifications and satisfactory references.
A full clean driving license is preferable for this position.
