The Role:
Individual sought to work in a 1:1 and 2:1 capacity with a persons living in their own home in the community. The Cheshire Community Living Service is based on clear principles of supporting people “one person at a time”. As a Cheshire Support Worker you will be committed to the provision of quality services and to the concept of working in partnership with clients who live in their own homes. The successful candidates will have the ability to operate independently with good use of initiative, and also to work effectively in the small staff team. You and your team will provide personal care in line with client health needs, exercise programmes, and household management. You and your team will support client’s safety, security, emotional, and spiritual well-being whilst also supporting people, if necessary, to identify their individual goals and achieve future aspirations.
The Person:
You will be committed to the principles of rights based, person-centred services. You will be flexible, reliable, and prepared to work a variety of shifts. Preferably you will have experience of working with clients who have acquired brain injury and or high support needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, social, and pro-active. A full driving licence and access to own vehicle is desirable. You must also be working towards or hold a FETAC Level 5 care related qualification or willing to complete a FETAC Level 5 care related qualification.
