Role Purpose:
The role is to ensure that our charity delivers its current plan, while also working with a dedicated Board of Trustees to develop a new strategy to shape our future for 2021-2024 and beyond.
Provide leadership to the staff of Sonas in the implementation of Board approved strategy and the development and enhancement of the charity’s services for our users.
Act as the public advocate for Sonas and represent the interests of the women and children that we serve.
Delivery of an aligned organisation, with effective communications, staff development and high-profile engagement with our stakeholders and the community.
The Chief Executive will act within the policy framework and financial and other limits set by the Board and by the company’s Constitution.
With a mature style, you will also be capable of overseeing the financial management of our organisation and will bring a keen eye for detail in this regard. Our CEO is responsible for the overall development, progress and vision of the charity, working with the Chairperson and Trustees. Reporting to Trustees, the Chief Executive manages the Senior Management Team and is responsible for the effective and efficient use of resources to meet the charity’s strategic objectives and promote its wider mission.
Key Requirements for the Position:
Core competencies will include operational expertise ideally within a similar setting, experience in setting and managing within budgets, strategic thinking, knowledge of corporate governance, commercial acumen, proven leadership skills coupled with the ability to develop and nurture key stakeholder relationships at the highest levels.
Experience of similar service organisations is desirable.
