About the Role:
Client Support Officers play a key role in the broader SICAP team, working collaboratively with communities and individuals across Co. Wexford who have been marginalised or denied full inclusion in Irish society. This role involves one to one facilitation and development work with young people aged between 18-24 years who are not engaged in education, employment or training (NEETS) to enable them to discover their own strengths, address barriers, identify a meaningful progression goal and take the necessary steps to achieve it.
We are looking for an experienced, resourceful and empathetic individual, with excellent interpersonal and team skills, who is passionate about supporting people to reach their full potential and is energised about making a positive difference in a person’s life.
The key responsibilities of this role include;
Outreach, promotional activity and collaborative networking to identify and engage with young people aged between 18-24yrs who are not engaged in education, employment or training.
One to one facilitation, goal setting and action planning with each young person, using coaching and mentoring approaches
Collaboration with other members of the SICAP team to create opportunities in the areas of personal development, lifelong learning and labour market support for clients of the programme
Development of an active network of relationships with WLD colleagues as well as local agencies to facilitate referrals to and from SICAP
Development and constant updating of a knowledge base of relevant local services that can support young people not currently engaging with mainstream services to overcome barriers and achieving their goals
Caseload management using CRM software to clearly and accurately record client interactions and facilitate referrals
Formal reviews of personal action plans and mandated follow up checks
The Ideal candidate will have;
Achieved a Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent relevant training or professional experience, in a discipline appropriate to the role.
Have a minimum of 3 years direct experience working one to one with this cohort of young people and/or other marginalised adults.
Access to transport and a full clean driving licence as travelling and outreach will be part of the role.
The positions are being offered on a full time basis 35 hours per week and will be subject to continued government funding. The salary for this position is €36,335 p.a.
