Northside Partnership is a Local Development organisation based on the North side of Dublin. We are primarily funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan to bring together local communities, state agencies and trade unions to tackle the problems of unemployment and social exclusion.
We are currently recruiting a Jobs Club Assistant (Job Share 17.5 Hours) to join our Jobs Club. The Jobs Club is a dynamic and successful service that brings together Jobseekers who are looking for work. Those who wish to join the workforce are facilitated by offering training in job seeking skills, including CV preparation, career and job planning, targeting and sourcing jobs, interview preparation and interview techniques.
It will be the function of the Jobs Club Assistant to provide support to the work of the Jobs Club Manager in endeavouring to help job seekers to help themselves in their job seeking activities.
Key Responsibilities
To assist Jobs Club Manager with the delivery and organisation of the training programme
To liaise with job seekers and support them with their CV preparation and career goals
To liaise with employers, Department of Social Protection and the Local Employment Services to achieve Job Clubs goals and targets.
Maintain, collate and analyse monthly statistics
General office administration
Skills & Attributes Required
A commitment and passion to address the area of social exclusion is essential
An understanding of the problems associated with unemployment is desirable
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential, Access and Salesforce is desirable
Administration and secretarial skills is essential
Previous experience of working with similar groups is desirable but not essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of social media desirable
Innovative and enthusiastic
Ability to work on own initiative
Organisation, time management and problem solving skills
Salary
Depending on experience.
