We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Fulltime Community Centre Working Supervisor based in Swords, County Dublin.
Summary: The Community Centre Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Centre Manger in managing the daily operations of two Community Centres in the Swords area, including the supervision, development and performance management of employees. Deputising for the Centre Manager and assigning duties to the Centre Team.
Reporting to: Centre Manager
Primary Duties:
Work with the Centre manager to ensure smooth operation of the Centre and deputise for Centre Manager whilst manager is not on site.
Act as point of contact for Centre Enquiries.
Supervise team and assign responsibilities.
Work on own initiative.
Flexibility in working hours. Be a key holder and responsible for opening and closing the centre.
Excellent customer service and social skills. Excellent conflict resolution skills.
Responsibility to clearly and consistently uphold work standards for the team and centre.
Ensure standards/procedures are adhered to and assist with developing and implementing new standards/procedures.
Ensure the facility is maintained and ensuring any out of line situations is rectified in a safe and timely manner. Organise and deal with subcontractors.
Organisational, administration skills.
Must be computer literate.
Must have excellent problem solving abilities and have the ability to resolve challenging situations in a calm, effective and timely manner.
Assist in induction/training and development of new team members.
Assist the Centre Manager to meet/exceed budget requirements.
Have the ability to develop good working relationships with other Campus staff.
Centre Attendant Duties.

Characteristics
Previous relevant supervisory experience desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must have fluent English.
Be computer literate and a good working knowledge of MS packages.
Have an outgoing, friendly, outgoing disposition.
Full driving licence and transport required as it will be necessary to work in more than one location.
Flexibility is essential in this role and the ability to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.
