Purpose of the role:
To support and work with the Board of Management, Coordinator, staff & Volunteers of Focus Family Resource Centre to implement the project’s operational plan through its aims and objectives, Service Level Agreements with funders and identified needs.
Candidates will be expected to have:
Level 7 or higher in Community Development, Family support, Social Care or other relevant discipline;
At least 2 years’ paid experience of Community Development, family support or similar work;
Understanding of family and parent support in a community setting;
Understanding of Community Development principles and practices;
Experience of initiating and developing community-based initiatives, such as family support programmes, one to one family support, Youth programmes, community education etc;
Working with different target groups;
The ability to liaise with voluntary, community and statutory agencies;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good leadership and facilitation skills;
Proven organizational, report writing and record keeping skills;
Experience in computer applications, ability to design and deliver creative programmes in response to community needs with a focus on social inclusion;
Demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work on own initiative
