Cork City Partnership is advertising for the position of Employment Support Worker to deliver our “Women in Employment Programme”, provided through the Gender Equality European Social Fund (ESF) Programme for Employability Inclusion and Learning (PEIL), and delivered by Cork City Partnership over the next three years.
This post will target women in the home who currently are not in receipt of a DSP payment but who are interested in working outside the home.
Primary Duties will include:
Making contact with and building a relationship with this cohort of women
Sourcing/design and delivery of some courses and sourcing tutors for other relevant courses. All courses related to building self-confidence/upskilling/interview preparation and are set out in the application.
Providing one to one mentoring support to the clients of this programme (40 per year)
Supporting these individuals to access employment (at least 20 per year)
Linking with existing staffing resources/programmes in CCP to maximise potential of PEIL and add value to other programmes
Provide phone support to the women for four weeks after they commence employment.
Oversight of budget in liaison with Finance Officer
Preparation of reports to CCP/Department and others as required
Ideally the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of a community development approach, experience in the organisation and delivery of courses, an ability to provide relevant one to one support to women distanced from the labour market and an ability to deliver on targets.
The salary for the position is €35,059 per annum, fixed for the duration of the project. The candidate will report directly to the Local Employment Service Co-Ordinator.
