About FoodCloud

FoodCloud is a Dublin based social enterprise set up with the aim of reducing food waste and restoring community spirit based on shared food. Within communities food businesses frequently experience food surpluses, as a consequence of the modern food system, while charities struggle to provide food for those who need it most. FoodCloud provides an opportunity for businesses and charities within communities to work together to solve the social and environmental impact associated with food waste and food poverty.

We facilitate the redistribution of surplus food from businesses to charitable organisations within communities. Using our app, or through our website, businesses who have registered with FoodCloud, can upload details of their surplus food and the time period in which the food can be collected. The app then automatically sends a text message to the allocated charity in that area, who collects directly from the business.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a support team to work in the evening time monitoring evening donations and managing evening time volunteers. This job is integral to our operations and service and we need friendly, organised and competent multi-taskers to make the donations process as smooth as possible. This will involve monitoring evenings donations being posted, following up with our partners and being available to assist our partners. The chosen individuals will need to be available in the evening time and at weekends.

Timeline & Process

The role will begin in April  2015 and will consist of an evening shift 3-4 evenings a week during weekdays and at weekends. It is a paid position and hourly wage will be provided on application. The successful candidate will be based in our offices at Grand Canal Dock in Dublin.
