Duties of Role:
Facilitate the development of consistency and routine in all aspects of night-time parenting informed by the parent’s intervention plan.
Ensure the safety of infants within their parent’s care through regular checks where necessary and undertake childcare when necessary.
Impart immediate feedback to parents when needed aimed to help them adjust to parenthood and to promote positive parenting.
Assume responsibility
for operational duties including for example cleaning, health and safety checks, daily log sheets and proof reading.
Support, understand, and record parents’ ability to meet the emotional, physical and basic care needs of their children whilst working according to psychologically-informed care plan.
Contribute to wider team in the context of understanding and supporting all parents and infants resident on the parent and infant unit.
Contribute toward trauma informed working environment for both clients and colleagues.
Demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to developing skillset in niche area of service provision within Irish context though ongoing professional development and reflective supervision.
Attend and participate in fortnightly team meetings.
Person Requirement:
The successful candidate will be a compassionate, empathetic individual with an appreciation of selfcare and team-working. Qualification in social care, nursing, social science, psychotherapy, childcare or equivalent is required as is a clean full driving licence.
