Role & Responsibilities:
This role is of strategic importance in the delivery of the overall fundraising and brand strategy. The manager will lead the team’s work to specific campaign and annual targets working with third party marketing and communications agencies and utilising key digital and social platforms including our CRM system. This role will play a vital role in a cross-functional fundraising, campaigns, marketing and digital teams.
Fundraising Campaign Management
Plan, develop and deliver effective timely and measured fundraising marketing campaigns both online and offline to key audiences.
Manage 3rd party agencies to develop compelling supporter acquisition and retention journeys, assets and reports across all fundraising campaigns.
Take full responsibility for delivering fundraising ABTL and BLTL marketing assets in collaboration with the event sponsor for Darkness into Light to strict deadlines.
Work in partnership with campaign sponsors to deliver marketing campaigns that support and strengthen sponsor relationships.
Work with colleagues across Pieta to deliver compelling fundraising content, storytelling and assets that puts Pieta’s clients and supporters and the impact of our work at the heart of what we say and do. Understand how to optimize content for multiple channels and formats PR, video, audio, radio, social, email, website
Manage third party agencies and work with corporate partners to optimise our use of resources and deliver best in class messaging and content
Work across teams within Pieta to champion and continuously develop the Pieta brand through fundraising campaigns.
Use insights and research to deepen understanding of Pieta’s audiences and how best to connect with them
CRM, Data & Reporting
Lead and implement best practice data segmentation within Salesforce NFP and Pardot.
Lead the fundraising team to ensure full compliance with GDPR regulation in fundraising marketing campaigns and data handling of responses to marketing campaigns
Develop and deliver a series of reports and dashboards to provide timely and strategic management information against campaign KPI’s
Foster a culture of results driven, data-led decision-making in the Fundraising and Marketing team
Cross Functional Working
Work across the Pieta Fundraising and Marketing team and wider organisation to deliver impactful ABTL and BTL fundraising marketing campaigns
Work within a diverse team with a range of skills sets and objectives to deliver campaigns against stretch financial fundraising targets
Balance workloads and ensure effective planning and prioritization of campaigns, content requirements and reporting requests
Work with clinical managers to develop key fundraising messages, brand, marketing collateral, campaigns and advertising that meets the passion and commitment of Pieta’s supporters and demonstrates the impact of our work.
Work across the organisation as fundraising brand champion, ensuring key messages and brand consistency and impact through teams. Manage a successful sign off and stewardship process with learnings fed into continuous brand development
Website content management and development
Work with directors to ensure all fundraising campaign website content is relevant, engaging and on brand.
Oversee continuous improvement of the website experience for fundraising campaign target audiences
Oversee the delivery of monthly reporting, analysis and insights of all online fundraising marketing activities and for ad hoc campaign reports for teams across the organization
Systems, Budgets and Reporting
Establish and manage data quality within CRM through the supporter care and wider fundraising team
Delivery of monthly KPI reports across fundraising marketing campaigns, website, SEO, digital fundraising and social media channels escalating opportunities and risks where appropriate
Delivery of a suite of digital fundraising campaign reporting tools and dashboards, leading the fundraising team to become data and insight driven
Manage fundraising marketing expenditure and marketing campaign budgets on an on-going basis ensuring all activity is implemented within Pieta’s financial policies and budget
Ensure actionable strategic reporting on fundraising marketing campaigns and projects
Ensuring full advertising and marketing legal and GDPR compliance for all fundraising campaigns
Education, Skills & Experience Required:
Third level degree in strategic marketing or communications is required
Minimum 5 years’ communications/marketing experience, with significant experience in leading social media and digital initiatives
A strong track record in cross functional working, working within a high performance team, and leadership within a team setting.
Highly developed project management skills and the ability to lead and prioritise multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to translate organizational messages and objectives into compelling content
Proven track record in developing and executing highly effective creative and digital campaigns
Proven experience of working with and understanding of CRM systems and ensuring quality and actionable data
Understanding of GDPR within a fundraising context
Highly developed campaign analysis and reporting skills with the ability to plan for and identify actionable insights which optimise campaigns
Experience of brand and internal communications management in a large organization/corporate setting
Delivery of excellence in execution and high performance campaigns through third party suppliers
Advanced expertise in leveraging social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
Knowledge of website analytics, SEO/SEM and Google advertising with demonstrated success in increasing website traffic, lead generation and conversion rates
Note: As Pieta is a national organisation, this role may require travel for work and a willingness to work weekends, evenings and unsociable hours will be required at times.
