POSITION OVERVIEW
The Grants & Services Coordinator will support the Senior Programmes & Communications officer in grant and information supports for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI). He/She will guide members on their rights and entitlements, grant communications and advocacy supports ensuring all members are aware of relevant supports and services. He/She will help develop the services provided by the CFI to PWCF & their families, including information, advice and grant assistance.
REPORTS TO:
The Senior Programmes & Communications Officer with overall responsibility to the Operations Manager & CEO.
HOURS: Based in the CF Ireland offices in Rathmines, Dublin 6, following normal full-time working hours (35 hours/week).
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grants and Support Services
Planning, organizing, processing, budget monitoring, evaluating and reporting on all aspects of:
Exercise grant
Transplant/Transplant Assessment grant
Counselling Referral
Domiciliary Physiotherapy
Bereavement
Social and Distress payments
Responsible for grant communications, and ensuring all members and branches are fully aware of these supports.
Conducting reviews and engaging with members to improve upon procedures and processes.
Information Provision and Support
Assist the Senior Programmes & Communications Officer with website development and updates.
Assist and guide member son their rights and entitlements and assuring they have access to the right supports.
Inform members of policy changes that may affect them.
Respond to daily requests for advice on advocacy and hospital issues.
Manage New Parents information and supports.
Provide information supports to Cystic Fibrosis Centres Nationwide.
Provide Information supports to all local voluntary branches of the CFI.
Provide information supports and issue packs to support General Public and membership with general queries and support.
Database management.
Assist on other CFI projects as necessary.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
3+ year’s experience in an advocacy/information support role.
Strong understanding of the Republic of Ireland not for profit and voluntary sector.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Experience in Raiser Edge (desirable).
Fluent English.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS: This is a one year Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of extending, subject to 6-month probation period.
SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with experience, circa €30,000 – €32,000 per annum.
