Head of Respite and Short Break Services – St. Catherine’s Association

We are currently seeking a motivated and outcomes-orientated Head of Respite and Short Break Services to lead this service on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the Leadership and Management of the respite and short break services within St. Catherine’s and will ensure the smooth running of the service in line with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
The purpose of the post is to direct and implement policies, aims and objectives of the Organisation as part of the Senior Management Team.
The successful applicant will report to the Acting CEO and will be required to travel to various locations of the Organisation and to represent St Catherine’s wherever necessary.

Applicants must have:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role in the area of health or social care
An appropriate third level qualification in health or social care management,
A Masters degree would be desirable
Frontline experience of working in residential and /or Respite and Day Services in the Intellectual Disability sector is essential
In-depth working knowledge of all relevant legislation and HIQA Standards and a proven ability to implement standards and regulations
Experience in financial management including budget preparation and reporting
Provide Leadership / Management and direction to staff and develop a critical customer focus in order to enhance team cohesion and understanding of the organisation’s values
Provide mentoring and support for relevant staff including performance management
Establish and maintain networks and relationships necessary to accomplish strategic outcomes
Contribute to innovative design of effective and professional programs and services which reflect the individual needs, interests and aspirations of all the Children and young people in our care
Maintain up to date operational policies and procedures on all relevant compliance legislation issues
Facilitate service development and growth
The ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple changing priorities
Hold a full clean driving license and have access to transport
