St. Patricks Centre, Kilkenny is recruiting for experienced Healthcare Assistants to be placed on a relief panel for work with adults and children with intellectual disability. The role of the Health Care Assistant is to facilitate the choices of and deliver supports to, people who use the service.
The Health Care Assistant will support activities such as independent living skills, community integration, personal development, occupational and leisure activities in the context of a person centred approach to the service provision.
Our Health Care Assistants are an integral part of the care team, providing a caring, professional service that is instrumental in the quality of care our service users receive.
The requirements of the role are:
FETAC Level 5 qualification in a relevant area
Patient Manual Handling (Training can be provided)
3 Written References signed and dated
Additional training will be provided as required.
Shift work including night work and weekends will be part of the working pattern.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working as a Health Care Assistant in support of people with Intellectual Disability but additional training will be provided as required.
