High Support Service Guidance Practitioner – Ballymun Job Centre

The role
of the High Support Service Guidance Practitioner involves providing mediation and guidance to clients of the Ballymun Job Centre drug support services. This position requires a person with a unique mix of skills that has the capacity to motivate and support individuals who wish to change their lives, in a positive way, as part of a reintegration plan, following a period of drug use. The position also involves supporting clients that are ready to access education/training and employment opportunities. The role will involve working with the Ballymun Local Drugs and Alcohol Task Force and associated services.

The ideal
person is self-motivated with the capacity to work within a team. He or she should have excellent inter-personal and communication skills. The job demands a performance-oriented individual who defines targets and results from both the qualitative and quantitative angle and can influence others. The person should have experience and knowledge of working with individuals who have or are experiencing drug addiction. A relevant third level qualification in Psychology or Social Science would be an advantage.
Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend for interview. Garda Vetting will be required on appointment.

This position
is funded by the Ballymun Local Drugs and Alcohol Task Force. Salary is on a scale between €34,493 and €44,527 depending on experience.
