POSITION SUMMARY
Mental Health Ireland (MHI) is seeking to appoint a HR Executive to lead on the delivery of its HR functions. The person appointed will be a key member of the Head Office team reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. He/she will provide best practice HR knowledge, team supervision, advice and technical management to support the delivery of the organisation’s strategic/ business plans.
THE PERSON
The person we are looking for will have a track record of delivering in the following key areas of responsibility:
Promoting a culture of teamwork through building effective relationships
Displaying an in-depth understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
Providing excellent communication, both written and verbal
Be capable of working in a complex contractual environment comprising of full time, part time, fixed term and fixed purpose staff many of whom are working remotely on an on-going basis

Conditions of employment:
The HR Executive will be based at Head Office in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. There is provision for some working from home in the present pandemic circumstances. This post is initially being offered on a two year contract basis. Renewal of the contract will be subject to funding constraints at the time of renewal. The position is based on a 5-day week (37 hours), exclusive of lunch hours.
The salary scale for this position) is as follows: €41,209. €42,522 €43,834 €45,146 €46,458 €47,980¹ (after 3 years’ satisfactory service at the maximum), €49,496² (after 6 years’ satisfactory service at the maximum), Grade V Standard Personal Pension Contribution (PPC) Salary Scale HSE scale as at April 2017.
