Face to face counselling/psychotherapy to clients aged between 13-21 and adult women clients
Attendance at support and supervision with clinical supervisor.
Attendance at 1 monthly peer support and supervision meeting.
Maintaining client records in accordance with the code of practice of LWL Community Psychotherapy service
Provide a service that is guided by the code of ethics and practices according to LWL Community Psychotherapy service and your own accrediting body
Requirements and Essential Criteria
The successful candidate will hold a professional accredited counselling/psychotherapy qualification
Accredited by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) or Irish Association for Humanistic Integrative psychotherapy (IAHIP), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or other relevant body.
A relevant 3rd level qualification
Min 2 years post qualification experience
Min of 2 year’s experience working with young people either as a counsellor or in other community service disciplines
Experience of working with survivors of trauma
Commitment to and active participation in professional development and take responsibility for one’s own continued professional development.
Commitment to working as part of a team
Commitment to working with the dignity of the client and maintaining their confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well under own initiative
