Local Employment Service Mediator – SWICLEC – Dublin 8

South West Inner City Local Employment Centre is funded by The Department of Social Protection to deliver a professional Local employment service to resident jobseekers in the Dublin 8 area.

Key Functions:

Work on one to one appointment basis with local unemployed jobseekers providing guidance and support in area of Employment Training & Education.
To effectively and efficiently manage and operate a caseload management system
To work as an integrated member of the SWICLEC team
To establish a realistic profile of job requirements and to build a client base of local employers who will provide recruitment opportunities for SWIC LEC.
Effectively collaborate with external partners, stakeholders of the service
Commitment to the achievements and success to the overall organizational development and business objectives

Skills Required:

Proven ability to work effectively as part of team and on own initiative when required
Flexibility to work on additional various projects and initiatives as and when required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Innovative and analytical approach to problem solving
Experience in submitting accurate reports and statistical information
Experience in recruiting, screening and skills matching of jobseekers
Comfortable liaising with employers on recruitment needs
Networking experience collaborating with community organizations and able to execute follow up actions as required.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Previous experience working to targets an prioritizing tasks
Client focused and understanding of challenges facing unemployed jobseekers
Excellent administration skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Experience:

The successful candidate should ideally have:

At least 3 years experience of working with unemployed jobseekers in a statutory agency or community, voluntary based organisation
Vocational Guidance, Career Coaching, Recruitment Experience
Comprehensive understanding of  labor market developments, including new employment and training schemes, employment incentives etc
Aptitude for computerized systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge of Department of Social Protection benefits and Welfare Rights
Knowledge of  Education System, CDETB’s, and National Frameworks

Salary: Depending on experience.
