Job Description:
Report to the GYNG CEO and Board of Directors and work collaboratively with same and with The ETB in helping design and deliver a planned programme of modules to a high standard. The LTI Coordinator will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment for all learners and overseeing the day to day operational procedures needed to allow for a successful programme that will help learners reach their full potential.
More specifically, the LTI Coordinator will be expected to:
Assist in the running of full-time LTI project
Assist in co-ordinating the learners registration with ETB when new project starts
Encouraging learner participation & attendance,
Provide individual support and evaluation to all course participants, identifying any specific individual learning needs (not merely academic, but also social development needs
Support the evaluation of learner’s progress with regular group and individual sessions
Develop individual learning plans with learners and facilitate progression to other forms of training, education or employment
Assist in the planning and execution of accreditation of the LTI modules
Hands on delivery of training QQI major award modules at level 4 (and 5)
Assist with the compliance of all ETB requirements (including deadlines)
Assist in the production and retention of all project records in accordance with the requirements of QQI level 4 (and /or 5)
Monitor, record and report course participants’ attendance to ETB on a weekly basis
Implement Health and Safety procedures as per current legislation
Professional networking and building partnerships with organisations, businesses, agencies or individuals who are invested in the LTI or can contribute in a positive way,
Participate and represent GYNG on formal networks,
The LTI Co-ordinator will also be responsible for supervising the LTI Assistant Co-ordinator, Tutors, and Facilitators and will also be involved in the recruitment and development of the same.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide monthly reports, both financial and administrative to the ETB & to GYNG CEO and Board.
Terms:
Full time post 37.5 hours per week for the programme duration (11 months). Annual Leave 26 days per annum. Subsequent programmes are subject to funding. Salary as per the WWETB LTI Co-ordinator rate.
Other Criteria:
Experience working with young people,
Experience working with learners (of all ages) who have been out of education, training and employment for a considerable period,
Have some knowledge of the detriments of early school leaving,
Have a recognised qualification in training/education, educated to degree level, must have experience of management or co-ordination in a community education setting,
Minimum of two years working with QQI/FETAC accreditation,
Have a positive attitude and approach to working with young people, colleagues, funders and other stakeholders,
Have a full driving license,
Garda Vetting will be processed.

As interviews will take place online those who will be shortlisted will be asked to prepare and deliver a 5-minute presentation on the positive impacts of community education.
