Gheel Autism Services is a community based progressive and innovative voluntary organisation which provides a broad range of supports and services for adults on the autistic spectrum in partnership with the Health Service Executive and families.
We currently have a full time six month temporary vacancy in Maintenance. The position will be based in Fairview Dublin 3 with a requirement to travel to Gheel properties in Dublin and Maynooth.

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor
Essential skills and experience
General building maintenance and repair experience
Full driving licence
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to meet work deadlines
Desirable skills and experience
Qualified and time served in a Trade
Recent experience working in a similar role
Knowledge of autism
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and prioritise a weekly work schedule with the Maintenance Supervisor.
Carry out the planned maintenance and repair of defects in respect of buildings, fixtures and fittings, utilities and grounds.
Carry out safety checklists and report any hazards or risks using Q Pulse system.
Plan and coordinate the work of part-time maintenance staff in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Supervise and co-coordinate the work of specialist contractors under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.
The position is based in Fairview, Dublin 3 but there is a requirement to travel to other Gheel properties to carry out maintenance work.
