Main duties and key responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out the following duties in line with the Society’s standards and strategic objectives and as directed by the Head of Member Communications.
Contribute to communication and promotion of Law Society member services and how they add value to better service the profession
You will be responsible for contributing to and facilitating the delivery of the business strategy and work programme to represent and maximise engagement with our members and keep them informed
Creating and providing input to communication plans for key campaigns, managing the campaign calendar, coordinating events
Assisting in the promotion and communication of services to the legal profession and other stakeholders
Collaborate with colleagues to plan campaigns in a unified manner, monitor the impact of communications tools, and analyse and report on the resulting customer engagement
Bring high degree of accuracy and exceptional organisational and planning skills, in order to manage large and complex projects for on-time delivery.
Work closely with colleagues in the RMS Department, as well as with teams across the Society in the promotion of new and existing business supports for members and prospective members that support and build the brand
Manage a central communications calendar for monitoring and tracking progress of communications campaigns and events, to facilitate knowledge sharing and find better ways to increase efficiency
Contribute to maximising engagement with members and potential members in conjunction with Member Services colleagues to better service the profession
Complete other projects and duties assigned by the Head of Member Communications and/ or Director of RMS from time to time.
Knowledge and skills
Hold a third level qualification in communications.
2+ years’ professional communications experience preferred
Experience working in internal communications an advantage.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating events.
Have project managed large scale, high profile campaigns and/or events.
Good at building relationships and outreach.
Exceptional writing ability suited to a professional audience, able to articulate the key message and experienced in digital communications.
High attention to detail, can work under pressure and is results and deadline focused.
A dynamic, self-starter who is a flexible, team player and able to work independently without close supervision.
Enthusiastic and passionate about communications and customer service.
Approachable and professional manner in all dealings.
Experience working for a professional body an advantage.
