Parent & Families Project Worker
The Tallaght Drug Prevention & Education Project, is managed by Foróige and funded by Tallaght Drug & Alcohol Task Force (TDATF), through the HSE. There are two project staff who work in partnership to deliver Drugs Prevention and Education programmes to parents and young people across Tallaght & Whitechurch.
It is the policy of Foróige that, working within the context of the philosophy and purpose of the organisation, staff and volunteers will seek to prevent drug misuse and reduce drug related harm among young people within the community.

Professional Qualifications and Experience (E=essential; D=Desirable)
Education to Degree standard, preferably in Youth / addiction / health promotion work (E)
Access to car and full driving licence (E)
A minimum of 1 year relevant paid or voluntary experience working with young people in a similar role (E)
Experience in the delivery of the Strengthening Families Programme and/or Parents Plus (D)
Experience of working with young people effected by drugs or drug related problems (D)
