Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is a progressive independent person centred organisation providing services for people with limited mobility nationally. Our mission is to provide exceptional services and other supports that change lives and ensure that people with disabilities are in a position to participate fully and equally in their communities. The Association employs 2,500 staff in every county in Ireland to provide those services.
We now seek applications for the following positions in IWA, Cashel, Co. Tipperary
Programme Assistant – Part time& Relief Panel (Shift System)
In keeping with the independent living ethos of IWA the Programme Assistant will be expected to provide supports around people’s daily living requirements and support each person to engage in the local community in a way which enhances their independence, dignity and self-esteem as members of the local community.
A FETAC level 5 (Major Award) Care Support or similar qualification is essential. FETAC Major Awards that are deemed relevant to IWA are:

Health Service Skills
Health Care Support
