Project Worker – Clondalkin Drug & Alcohol Task Force – Dublin 22

Role Description
CDATF is seeking applications from suitable candidates for the role of YDAP project worker. Clondalkin YDAP is an under 18’s drug and alcohol project serving young people in Clondalkin and surrounding areas. We are seeking a candidate who can build the capacity of this new project to respond to the needs of people under 18 who are using drugs and alcohol.
The successful candidate will have the ability to enhance the work of the Clondalkin Youth Drug & Alcohol Project by providing supports and interventions to young people aged 12-21 years who present to the project with problems related to their substance misuse. The candidate will be expected to work in a youth centred, evidence based, and outcomes focused manner. Part of this role will also require working with the families of young people attending the service.

Qualifications
Level 7 Degree in, Addiction Studies, Social Care, or Youth Work.
Training/qualifications in evidence-based interventions for youth substance misuse.
Full clean drivers’ licence.
Experience and Knowledge Base
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the following
Knowledge of the National Drugs Strategy, National Drug Rehabilitation Framework, Addiction, and Addiction Services
Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience working with the target group.
Experience of key working/care planning and case management.
Experience of dealing with Child Protection and Welfare issues and certified in Children’s First training.
Terms
The salary for this post will be in line with CDATF Grade V scale. Due to the nature of funding attached to the role the post will initially be offered on a 28-hour basis. The scale ranges between €42,773 and €51,375 and will be paid pro-rata based on a 28 hour week.
