Your new role
In your new role as a Relief Social Care Worker, you will work directly with service users to support their endeavours to live as independently as possible. You will use person-centred planning to help people actualise their potential. You will empower people to live self-determined lives in socially inclusive communities, and accomplish their goals, in accordance with the mission and values of the organisation.
Your new role
also requires administrative duties and responsibilities. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues and line manager to implement placement plan objectives, ensuring service users receive the agreed quality and quantity of services.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in your new Relief Social Care Worker role, you will have a minimum QQI Level 7 in Community Care/ Social Care/ Social Work/ Applied Social Studies/ Youth Work or related field. You will have a full driver’s licence and flexibility in work hours. You will need a working knowledge of relevant Social Policy legislation. A calm, welcoming and patient attitude will benefit you.
