Description
The role of the Science Communications Assistant is to assist in the development and implementation of AquaTT s internal and external communications strategies, with a specific focus on web-related communications. This will include maintaining key communication channels as well as generating and editing content across all of AquaTT s activities. Primary Responsibilities: Composing, editing, designing, recording, producing publications such as press releases, newsletters, leaflets, brochures, etc., working in close collaboration with AquaTTs graphic design department. Managing of several websites, including updating, ongoing monitoring, and gaining input from other AquaTT staff as necessary. Generating and editing/proofing social media contributions. Supporting the Communications team in the development of the monthly AquaTT online newsletter which includes writing, editing and proofreading.
Skills Requirements
Communications graduate/science graduate/media graduate. Previous experience as a communications/information officer is a bonus. Some desk top publishing skills/design awareness. Media aware; Social Media conscious. Candidates invited for final interviews will be asked to take a writing and editing test, a scenario-based aptitude test, and a test to assess their abilities at using Web Content Management Systems.
