Social Care Worker – HAYS

Your new role
Your new role, as Social Care Worker, will involve a broad of duties and responsibilities including supporting residents in their home life, day activity and social interaction. Some of the residents live in their own apartments, where you will assist in providing full one-to-one support in their daily needs. This service utilises their large outdoor space and the environment is an important part of care here, encouraging the residents to explore the outdoors through farming, music and nature.

What you’ll need to succeed
You must be a people centred practitioner, whose focus is helping to support people to achieve their full potential in life. In order to succeed in your new role, you will have recent and relevant experience in a Social Care setting, preferably working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. In addition to this, you will hold a Level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care, or disability. You will be open to working various shift patterns in a Residential Setting, and have a full, clean driving licence.

What you’ll get in return
You will be paid a set rate of 15e per hour, with potential to earn more on weekends, Sundays and bank holidays which could bring your annual salary to about €35,000. You will be working with a team that supports you in a friendly and positive environment, that focuses on a holistic approach in their care. You will be supported in education is you wish to pursue a relevant qualification. You will also be in an environment where your personal and professional development is important and where you will expect to progress internally. If successful in your application, you will be offered a permanent contract, and an opportunity to work various shift patterns. In addition to this, you will work alongside an established team of Social Care Workers and Volunteers and receive excellent support from all members of staff.
