Your new role
As their Social Care Worker, you will play an important role in assisting the residents to live independently. You will work closely with various clients creating care plans that are bespoke to them and will enable them to live better lives. Through a person centred approach, you will encourage their independence in day to day tasks, such as cooking, cleaning and developing their social and communication skills, You will assist them in building on their strengths and abilities, encouraging their individuality, while maintaining a positive and trustworthy relationship with them.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed in your new role, you will hold a Level 7/8 Degree in Social Care or disability. In addition to this, you will have experience working in a Social Care Worker role, ideally with adults with intellectual disability, in a Residential Service. You will be open to working various shift patterns, and have a full clean drivers licence.
What you’ll get in return
In return, if successful in your application, you will progress to a permanent contract with excellent salary based on your experience level, aligned to the HSE scales – you will be assisted with educational support should you wish to progress in relevant training areas.
You will be given the opportunity to work for a well-established organisation in the intellectual disability sector, initially on a 12 month contract, and will gain valuable and transferable experience from an experienced and supportive team of Social Care Workers. In addition to this, you will have access to an excellent Employee Assistance Programme, and industry lead training to assist you in your continuous professional development.
