This position
involves being available on a relief basis as and when required. This is shift work providing 24 hour cover, 7 days per week and flexibility is required.
Essential Requirements:
A recognised professional qualification in Social Care or an appropriate equivalent
Experience working with families especially families experiencing homelessness
Professional and caring approach to working with vulnerable families, adults, teenagers and children.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of the relevant centres, the candidate will:
Possess the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish a trusting relationship with clients
The candidate should be compassionate and highly motivated.
Develop and implement appropriate care plans and to ensure these are adhered to
Assess housing and support needs using the Care and Case Management Assessment Tools and approach for this process
Liaise with other individuals and agencies involved
Adhere to the policies and procedures within Good Shepherd Cork.
Implement all organisational procedures and policies including Health & Safety and child protection guidelines.
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
